Worship with Us

ABOUT OUR SERVICES
How We Worship
Our worship is grounded in what’s known as the reformed tradition. First and foremost this means our worship is centered around hearing and responding to God’s word. Our pastor strives to make the bible easy to understand, and relevant to daily life.
We blend a traditional approach to worship with a conversational atmosphere, so that worship is both reverent and warm. For specifics of what to expect on your first visit click here.
Be sure to watch our welcome video. It will answer most of your questions so that you can relax and enjoy worship rather than trying to figure you what’s going on. We want you to have a great first visist.
Breath Prayer
Isaiah 40:31
Inhale:I trust in the Lord
Exhale:He renews my strength
Music in Worship
If you enjoy music, First Presbyterian Church is the place to be on Sunday mornings. We perform a variety of music styles, utilizing a variety of musical instruments.
Our church is blessed to have a two-manual Kilgen tracker pipe organ, built in 1910, that was originally housed in the First Presbyterian Church in the downtown location. The organ was rebuilt and moved to the current church sanctuary where it is played each Sunday.
If you like to participate in music, there is a place for you at First Presbyterian Church whatever your instrument or choice of music styles.
Make a Joyful Noise!
Our choir members take music seriously but also like to have a good time. We are a real community choir, not professional, and always welcome new members.
The Chancel Choir practices from 7:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday evenings. They do not meet in the Summer months.
Our Mission
Because God loved us first…
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love” – I John 4:7-8
