GriefShare Grief Support Group
Are you grieving the death of a loved one? If so, we can help. Here at First Presbyterian Church we have a warm and caring group of people who meet weekly to walk for grief support. You don’t have to go it alone.
Specifically, as part of a GriefShare group you will
- Discover effective ways to manage difficult emotions.
- Receive support from people grieving just like you through discussion.
- Sort your emotions and take positive steps forward using journaling and tools in your GriefShare workbook.
- Take positive steps forward from mourning to joy.

Study and Learning Opportunities
Sunday studies, Monday School, brown bag study series, women’s study groups, Presbyterian Women’s Circle are all opportunities to grow in knowledge and friendship. Click here to learn more.
Game Nights
Bible trivia, board games, and bingo are just some of the fellowship activities enjoyed by church members and their friends. Check out the calendar for dates and times of upcoming events.
Men’s Lunch Group
Each Wednesday at 11:45 am men of our church dine together at a local restaurant. Again, this is a great way to become a part of the community. Check the weekly Church Bulletin or call the Church Office, 479-636-5542, to find out where they are meeting.
Potluck Dinners on Sunday, after the Worship Service
Six times a year the Deacons coordinate a luncheons in Washburn Hall following worship. This is a great time to get to know people. Come enjoy the food, fellowship and fun.
Presbyterian Women’s (PW) Sewing Project Group
Do you like to sew, knit or crochet? How about helping tie quilts? Then you will enjoy the PW Sewing Project Group. They meet the first Thursday, March through November, at 9:00am in the Church Library. Completed quilts, baby hats, and booties are donated to local non-profits. Prayer shawls are given quietly to individuals in need of special prayers.
Handy Man/Woman & Gardening Skills
Join the fun on two all church work days each year. Help spruce up the church grounds and building. Also, make friends working side-by-side. If you would like to share your skills more frequently, contact the church office at 479-636-5542 to discover additional opportunities.
