Committees of the First Presbyterian Church of Rogers

The Christian Education Committee works with the Pastor to identify, organize and manage Christian education opportunities and activities.  It’s the committee that selects the study materials and recruits the study leaders and facilitators.

The Finance & Administration Committee oversees the church’s finances to ensure we stay on budget.  It also encourages people to share of their time, talents and dollars.  It’s third function is to oversee the administrative activities of the church. 

The Great Commission Committee has several roles, including to welcome visitors, help assimilate new members into the congregation, and to communicate what is happening at church to both church members and the community.

The Missions & Congregational Life Committee coordinates missions and outreach activities within the local congregation and the community.  It works with the deacons to plan fellowship activities and minister to those who are in need – the sick, the friendless, and anyone who may be in distress.

The Property Committee works with staff on the general upkeep, maintenance, and use of the church building, grounds, and technical infrastructure.  Do you like working with your hands or with technology?  Then this is a committee for you.

The Worship & Music Committee works with the Pastor to design and implement worship opportunities.  It plans special worship services and helps select the hymns song at worship services.
